You are a package delivery person during a pandemic. Despite the circumstances, people still rely on you to deliver their packages. Travel around the city with their most essential items, but be cautious! The streets are filled with people, so you must maintain a safe social distance to avoid falling ill. Experience the bustling pixel city of Packademic from morning to night.
你是一名包裹快递员,正处在疫情时期,但人们仍然需要你的帮助!穿梭于城市之间,将他们迫切需要的包裹送达目的地,但要小心谨慎!街头行人络绎不绝,你必须与他们保持安全的社交距离,以免自己染病。沉浸于像素化的繁忙城市,体验从清晨到夜晚的冒险。
“Packademic was developed during the beginning of the COVID-19 pandemic by my friend and me, both as high school seniors. Inspired by the hardships faced by delivery personnel who provide us with essential supplies, we designed the game to capture their perspective during this challenging time. As game designers, we presented it in a lighthearted manner.
Utilizing the wonderful pixel assets created by my friend, I focused on designing the gameplay and coding it using the Game Maker Studio 2 engine. Throughout the development process, I explored the technical implementation of various features such as NPC path navigation, daylight cycle and rendering, minimap, open-world system, and more.”
